The Way Qi Wireless Chargers Work
There are a number of things in the average home that need electricity or periodic recharging – laptops, mobile phones, tablets, mp3 players, toothbrushes, electric shavers, kettles; the list goes on and on. Although these fantastic modern inventions offer great facilities that many of us could not be without, the tangle of cables accompanying dust can be very unsightly and even be a trip hazard if not careful. Wireless chargers are a great invention that allows some of these devices to be recharged or operate without the need for cables!

Scientists have discovered that an electromagnetic field can be used to transfer energy between two objects, which are in close proximity to each other, without any necessity of cables for connecting the two. Whenever a stream moves through a normal wire, an electromagnetic field is created around the wire. If the wire is bent into a coil, the magnetic field is amplified, and a larger area can be created by using a coil with more loops. If another wire is placed close enough to the first one, the magnetic field may induce a current on the second wire. In wireless charging, when power is sent through the primary induction transmission coil in the charging station, an alternating electromagnetic field, that induces a current in the secondary receiver coil in the device that needs charging, is created. Current in the secondary coil is used for charging the device. For this reason wireless charging is also sometimes called inductive load.

As the primary coil and the secondary coil do not have to be connected together, it is indeed possible that the electromagnetic field of a primary coil in a charging device, to be able to induce electrical energy in one or more entirely separate secondary coils. This means it has been possible for scientists to design and make devices that are able to charge more than one device at a time. Therefore, it is possible to buy wireless chargers that allow you to charge a mobile phone, a camera and an mp3 player all at once!

Qi chargers are easy to use and also safe if used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. You are not exposed to any known risk from harmful radiation. This is a very safe and effective option for charging various devices. Qi chargers eliminate the need to connect as often! Any mobile device that falls within its range will be automatically charged.
